(Backtick).Tool Windows are windows that display and organize information in Crestron Studio®. Most tool windows have their own toolbar(s) containing one or more tool window icons. Examples of tool windows are the Control Gallery, Resource Library, Design Explorer, Property Grid and Programming Editor in Touch Screen Designer and the Symbol Library, Signal Explorer, Logic Explorer, Device Explorer, and Diagram/Layout Manager in Program Designer.
You can manipulate the tool windows in various ways to adjust the available Workspace to fit your needs and preferences. All tool windows in Crestron Studio® can be re-sized and/or moved to another location. The tool windows can be docked to a particular position in their parent Designer window, or they could float anywhere inside the Designer window or even float on the desktop separate from the Crestron Studio® application window. Multiple tool windows can be docked together in a group and then manipulated as a unit, for example they could be moved together anywhere on the desktop or to another monitor or pinned together to the edge of the application frame.
To toggle on/off all open tool windows press (Backtick).
To navigate through all open tool windows in the current Designer, use the following shortcut keys:
- to go
to the next most-recently used tool window
- to go
to the previous most-recently used tool window
All tool windows can be:
Pinned to the edge of the application frame
Reset their placement to the default or custom layout
