If your project includes a touch screen or a remote with feature buttons that have a join number, the objects name will be listed in the Programmable Objects pane on the left side of the screen. You can program a hard button simply by clicking the individual button. This will display the button's programming properties on the right side of the screen. If the object has multiple joins you can choose which join you want to deal with by choosing it under Programmable Joins.
To program touch screen/remote buttons:
Select the button to program from the Programmable Objects pane. Note that only buttons (or any other objects) that have a join number assigned will be displayed.
Assign a join to program in the Programmable Properties pane.
Select a Programmable Event you want to program.
Select the button model and, if applicable, the button feedback type and synchronization setting.
Add programming steps in the Available Steps pane to the right.
Note that it is also possible to launch Touch Screen Designer or Faceplate Designer and float this programming dialog on top, so that the visual elements of the screens and hard buttons can be clicked directly to program.
