Use this function to license e-Control 2 for use with XPanel PDA. (All other XPanel applications can be used without licensing.)
Crestron allows the use of XPanel PDA without licensing for a 30-day trial period with no restrictions. After that, e-Control 2 communication will not work. Information about the current trial period or license status is given in the Activation Status field.
Before licensing e-Control 2 verify that the Ethernet card has been enabled on the control system, and that valid IP settings have been assigned—see Ethernet Addressing. If this is not done prior to activating e-Control 2, the Ethernet Card Code cannot be retrieved and an error will be generated.
To license e-Control 2
Cut and paste the Ethernet Card Code and send the code via e-mail to licensing@crestron.com.
In addition to the Ethernet Card Code, include in the body of the email your Dealer Name, Crestron Order Number and Purchase Order Number.
When you receive the activation code from Crestron True Blue Support, cut and paste the code into the Activation Code field and click Activate.
