NVRAM Disk

Accessing Device Functions

Use this function to manage the file system's NVRAM disk.

2-Series control systems provide about 256KB of memory for NVRAM. Of this 256KB, either 64KB or 128KB can be reserved for NVRAM disk. The NVRAM disk can store run-time data for SystemBuilder or D3 Pro applications, and other non-volatile files that SIMPL+ modules can access.

• To create the NVRAM disk, click the Enable NVRAM Disk check box. Then specify the size of disk: 64KB or 128KB.
  
  If you change the disk size, keep in mind that this will erase the contents of the NVRAM disk before creating a new NVRAM disk of the specified size.

• If you clear (de-select) the Enable NVRAM Disk check box, this will erase the contents of the NVRAM disk and delete the NVRAM disk directory from the file system.

• To clear the contents of the NVRAM disk without deleting the disk, click Clear NVRAM Disk.
