Property Data Grid

The Property Data Grid is housed in the Property Grid tool window of Basic Screen Designer. Depending on the type of selection/viewing mode the Property Data Grid displays either information about Hard Buttons or List Items.

The number and the headings of the columns of the Property Data Grid vary depending on whether the object selected is a Hard Button or a List: .

For list items the following columns/properties are available:

• Name

• Indirect Text

• Text

• Page Flip

• Icon

For hard buttons:

• Name

• Page Flip

• Use Global Setting check box

• Sticky Button check box

The row contents vary depending on the Object selected.

If a hard button is selected, all Hard Buttons are displayed in the data grid and the highlighted item (or items) will follow the current selection in the Workspace and vice versa.

To enter text in any text field of the Property Data Grid, position the cursor to the desired text field and start typing in it. Pressing will save the text in the text field and will position the cursor on the text field one row down.

To open a drop-down list in the Property Data Grid press and use / or / to change the selection. Pressing will save the selected selection in the drop-down list. Pressing positions the cursor one row down.

In the Property Data Grid you can:

• copy/paste one or more cells of the same type (cells)

• copy/paste all setting for one or more list items or hard buttons (row copy)

• cut selected cells. All selected cells return to their default values

• move up/down entire row for list items only. Move Up is not available if the item selected it is the first item in the Property Data Grid. Move Down is not available if the item selected is it the last item.
