Creating a Backup Copy of Your System

Crestron Studio® allows you to save backup copies of your programs for storage on a different media, transfer to another PC or to send to another programmer, by exporting the files which make up your system and saving them in a proprietary format.

To export a copy of your system do the following:

1. Click Export... on the File menu.

2. Crestron Studio® will prompt you to save your system before exporting
   
   
   Click the Yes button to save the changes made to your system.

3. In the Export File dialog which opens, locate the directory where you wish to save the program.
   Both the file type and the name of the system are pre-populated in the File name and Save as type text boxes respectively. The pre-populated File name can be changed if desired.
   
   
   

4. Click Save to begin the export procedure.
